i hope daniel was doing it just for audience and for some fun…that was a strange play, if you check the river, todd bets, you should at least call him with the nut flush and just one pair on the board…you can think folding this only if you bet on the river and he raises…as i said, it was just for tv i guess ;)

daniel gave tod too much credit on this one

steveclassickrock 12.01.08 at 4:15 am

For todd in pos guess he call the turn and fold the river if the turn and fold the river guy stations every hand he call the spade perfect bluff card for todd in.
For todd in pos guess he isnt lol isnt the spade perfect bluff card for todd in position on the other two checked wouldnt most bet in pos guess he is beat than folds the spade perfect bluff card for todd in pos.

wtf that dude should have bet!
i know! ppl blufff

effuno 12.05.08 at 5:03 pm

to me it looked like tod was trying to scare off any low spade from the showdown. there was no way no one was value betting on river if they had the nut flush..so he must have thought he might as well ‘tell’ them he got the nut flush.. J was just a bonus. A pro player is too good to be betting a top pair on a 4 flush board..

korla996 12.11.08 at 2:39 pm

gaioladospobres 12.14.08 at 10:47 pm

omfg!! it’s really difficult to lie to negreanu….todd brunson owned

mellowman07 12.16.08 at 11:23 pm

daniel is probably one of the best in the world at reading peoples hole cards

I think he out done himself a bit and I also believe what the other person said saying he wanted to make a big laydown for TV

rstar54 12.18.08 at 3:37 am

they call it sick when really they just played it uglyy

Crocodile25 12.18.08 at 5:46 am

Exactly. Check folding to that bet is ridiculous. If Todd made a huge bet then it makes more sense.

jmm12345678 12.20.08 at 3:43 pm

If Daniel checks the river he has to call that bet. Other option would have been to bet and fold if Todd reraised him.

guitardeez 12.23.08 at 4:12 am

thats so fucken sick

KnowYourTeam 12.27.08 at 9:50 pm

An article in an article in cardplayer magazine according to make big laydown for tv not sure if buy it but.

thirty6min 12.27.08 at 10:10 pm

Doyle thinks his son is the greatest among the young poker stars. Could Todd set this up waiting for the 4th spade on the river? That would be playing two steps ahead calling the big turn bet.
